Hi,

Please can you tell me how I can add Menu items to the header login? Once logged in I can see Profile and Logout in the dropwdown - I would like to add more Menu items to this.

Kind regards
Claire :-)

Hi there Claire!
The header login (the one added from Helix) doesn't have the option to add menu items; it's simply a feature that allows users to log in and out and is native of Helix.

If you want a login with submenus, you need to create a menu item and position it at the end. This should only be visible to visitors. Then, create another menu item, for example, "Account," of type URL (use a #). This menu should only be visible to registered users, or depending on their access level. Next, create hidden menu items (as many as you want, with the access level you want). Then, create submenus for "Account." These should be of type alias, and you must select the hidden items you created, including the logout item. This is how to create menu items for users in Joomla that take them to the different sections of your site.

Hi,

I found a way to do it.

I created a Menu Module and put it in the Position 'logged-in-usermenu'.

Oh yes, now that we've reviewed the code, the 'logged-in-usermenu' position is there. Great find, Claire!

So, anyone who wants to add menu items to the Helix User Login feature can do so by creating a new Menu, adding menu items to that menu (the items can be aliases or any component type), then creating a Menu module and publishing it to the 'logged-in-usermenu' position.

Regards.
