GOODNEWS - Author Bio and Article Ratings

To change the biography text for each author, go to Administrator >> Users >> Management >> find your users and edit them. In the User Profile tab >> About Me field, you can add the text for each author.

In Joomla Core, there isn't a built-in component or section for managing ratings. You can enable and disable them by going to System >> Manage >> Plugins and finding Vote. This is the plugin that enables article ratings.

If you've installed our quickstart, you can go to Components >> Contacts >> Contacts and you'll see six contacts in the Authors category. They're all linked to the Super User (for demonstration purposes only). On a live site, you should link each of these contacts to a different user. For example, if you have three editors, then only keep three contacts in the Authors category. You can delete or deactivate the others to link new ones if your editors continue to grow.

To change each author's image, edit the contact (the contact must have the real name, as suggested in the demo) and select the image. From the Display tab, you can add social media links if you wish; otherwise, remove the social media icon classes that come with the demo. Finally, your authors will appear on a page like this: demo.unitemplates.com/goodnews/index.php/authors . When you access each author's page, you'll see their details and articles.

Gravatar images are displayed when your author is not linked to any contact or the contact does not have an image selected.
To verify the author page, please send us the URL and login details as confidential information.

Hello.
We've fixed the error on the author details page. The author's articles are now visible. This fix will be included in the next version. The problem was that you updated to Joomla 6, and Joomla 6 apparently removed the `castAsChar` method. Since the template doesn't yet have an official version compatible with Joomla 6, it was generating the error.

I've investigated why the author avatar images are still Gravatar. The reason is that in your Ublog menu item, you haven't selected "Show" in the "Link to Author's Contact Page" field. Therefore, we edited the menu item Νρθραέα - Ά with the alias nea-arthra, and in the Options tab, we selected "Show" in the "Link to Author's Contact Page" field. In this case, the SP Page Builder plugin is unrelated.
